Andreas Graae is Assistant Professor in the Institute for Military Technology at the Royal Danish Defence College. He holds a PhD from the University of Southern Denmark with the dissertation The Cruel Drone: Imagining Drone Warfare in Art, Culture, and Politics (2019) and is co-editor of a theme issue on drone warfare in the Danish journal Politik (2017); coauthor of a chapter in the anthology Remote Violence: New Cultures of Violence (University of Minnesota Press, 2020); and co-editor (with Kathrin Maurer) of the anthology Drone Imaginaries: The Power of Remote Vision (forthcoming on Manchester University Press, 2021). His current research focuses on military technology and esthetics, exploring how drones, artificial intelligence, and autonomous weapons systems are about to transform the battlefield as we know it.
