Jessica Rajko is an interdisciplinary scholar/practitioner investigating emergent and recurring gaps, trends, and thresholds of research at the intersection of dance and computing. Her research explores data capture ethics and aesthetics, mediated touch and haptic technologies, generative tensions in interdisciplinary collaboration, and critical appropriations of technologies in dance. Her ongoing research is part of a larger collaborative effort to build an emerging field and international community of artists/scholars in dance computing studies. Jessica is an Assistant Professor at Wayne State University where she leads the Virtual Dance Collaboratory. She is also a member of the International Conference on Movement and Computing (MOCO) community currently investigating the ethical dimensions of research practices within the field.
