
Dr. Shanthi Johnson is Professor and Vice President – Research and Innovation at the University of Windsor, and former Dean of the School of Public Health, University of Alberta. An internationally recognized researcher in aging and public health, she has held leadership roles on national and global boards, including the National Seniors Council and CIHR Governing Council. A Fellow of multiple professional societies, she is a recipient of numerous honours including RBC Top 25 Canadian Immigrants. As a dedicated SWAAC member, Dr. Johnson has actively supported initiatives advancing equity and opportunities for women in academic leadership.
