
Kassim Said Abasse
Kassim Said Abasse is currently a postdoctoral fellow in Health Management at Faculte de Sciences administration (FSA) Universite Laval since 2019. He holds also a postdoctoral in Public Hygiene & Preventive Medicine in Southeast University (2018), a Ph.D. in Pharmaco-Economics, China Pharmaceutical University (2016), respectively in Nanjing (China), and MSc in Chimiometrie et Analyse Chimique: Application la Gestion Industrielle de la Qualite, Faculte de Sciences et Technique de F.s (Maroc). His work sits at the intersection of Economics analysis, Drug Utilization Research, Statistics Analysis, Evidence-Based Medicine, Health care Management, Logistic Regression, Health Outcomes, Health Inequalities, Drugs Delivery, Quality Control and Evaluation of Pharmaceutical Products, Clinical Practice & Research, and Health Policy. His research focuses on comparative and cost-effectiveness analyses, causal inference methods, program evaluation, health disparities (Medicine & Healthcare service), drug profiling & patient knowledge, social medicine, and outcomes research. He is regarded as a leading international expert on methods to study heterogeneity in clinical and economic outcomes, micro behavior with respect to heterogeneous information, and to establish the realized and potential values of medical technologies and public health interventions, and individualized care. Dr. Kassim is a Reviewer in various International Journals including Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention, the Journal of Health Economics and Health Economics, etc. He has taught courses in health services research methods & health ethics, biostatistics, health economics, decision analysis, social determinants, and cost-effectiveness analysis. Currently, Dr. Kassim is employed at the School of Public Health in Southeast University Nanjing (China), as an Assistant Professor to help disseminate knowledge and train foreign nationals seeking higher education. He, therefore, delivers health services research methods lectures to post graduate students (masters of public health) as well as supervise their research works.
