Dr. Diane Nakamura

Hi! My name is Diane and I'm a postdoctoral researcher at McGill University. My current research aims to identify novel drug targets in rare neurodegenerative diseases. I have a strong background in molecular and cell biology stemming from my PhD in Neuroscience (McGill University) and MSc in Anatomy & Cell Biology (Queen's University). Over the past 9 years, I have collaborated with companies including Abbott and Revalesio, and directed extensive industry-based research projects. Today, I'm interested in pursuing a leadership role in industry that combines my interests in drug discovery and large-scale project management. I'm eager to connect with people currently working in industrial roles, as well as other postdocs looking to transition out of academia.
