  • Learn and Apply: a mix of theory, real life examples, practices, team presentations and case studies
  • Team project using DMAIC methodology to be submitted
  • Final exam (1.5h)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification will be recognized following the completion of the final exam and team project

How to lead meetings effectively and engage your team from the start

How to lead your Stakeholders effectively from the start

Understand and capture the Voice of the Customers (VOC)

MEASURE PHASE

How to perform different types of process mapping to understand Current State (SIPOC, Detailed, Swim Lane, VSM, Spaghetti)

Implement strategy to collect data effectively while maximizing resources and costs

Understand the types of data that exists

Practice, real life examples, case studies, team activity

DAY 2 – June 2nd, 2020

Introduction to Minitab Statistical Software

Introduction to Basic Statistics (mean, median, mode, standard deviation and descriptive statistics)

How to sample data effectively

How to trust your data using Operational Definition & Measurement System Analysis (MSA) - Gage R&R

How to analyze statistical data using charts such as: Frequency plots, Histograms, Dotplots, Bloxplots

Understand the power of Pareto analysis to focus on the right priorities

Understand process variation using the power of Control Charts and SPC

Understand defect failures using Process Capability

Practice, real life examples, case study, team activity

Team presentations

DAY 3 – June 3rd, 2020

ANALYZE PHASE

How to apply Cause and Effect Analysis to find root causes

What is Normality and why it matters?

How to apply Hypothesis Testing such as Two-sample T-Test, Anova to prove the root causes

How to use Regression Analysis and Correlation to prove the root causes

Introduction to basics DOE (Design of Experiments)

Practice, real life examples, case studies, team activity

IMPROVE PHASE

How to generate effective and innovative solutions and lead brainstorming sessions

How to lead effective Kaizen events and quick SMEDs

How to recognize the 8 deadly wastes in Lean

Implement 5S and how to sustain it

Implement Kanban system

Implement full prove solution using Poka Yoke

Perform Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) to mitigate risks

How to pilot, plan and debug your project

Practice, real life examples, case study, team activity

How to apply a control plan

Danielle nguyenDanielle Nguyen is a certified Master Black Belt and experienced Plant Director that has led four world-class manufacturing plants. She has a deep passion for Lean Six Sigma, Leadership as well as serving others. Danielle is an experienced and international trainer that has delivered Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt trainings to over 1,000 professionals across the globe.

Danielle is highly effective in changing an organization’s culture, by engaging, empowering people and behaviors through leadership skills. She has an outstanding track record in turning plants around, achieving ambitious financial results and increasing efficiencies. She has deployed Lean Six Sigma programs across sites while ensuring a safe environment and engaging people.

Danielle is an industrial engineer from Concordia University who takes pride in her alma mater and is on her 6th year as a returning guest lecturer at the Gina Cody School. She also obtained a certification in Leadership Excellence from Harvard Business Review. Her professional experience in world-class organizations such as L’Oréal, Pfizer Pharmaceutical, Coca-Cola Company and  Kraft Heinz has led her to share her knowledge with the community.
